PUBLIC SAFETY
In just four years as our Councilmember, Dev Davis has made San Jose safer by:
- Voting to rebuild the police department to reduce crime and gun violence
- Securing funding to build Fire Station 37 to reduce emergency medical response times
AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS
Councilmember Dev Davis has a track record of working to make San Jose more affordable. In her first term Dev has:
- Made it easier to build tiny homes to increase the supply of affordable housing quickly and cost-effectively
- Supported housing for formerly homeless veterans and seniors, including the opening of Vermont House
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Dev Davis has helped spur economic development and bring jobs to San Jose. Her work has helped San Jose create jobs for residents and provide a larger tax base to fund critical city services like public safety, roads and housing. Already, Dev Davis:
- Supported Google’s expansion into Downtown San Jose
- Helped host the College Football Playoff and NHL All-Star Games
- Partnered with Steve Wozniak to raise funds for a San Jose dog park
